 Guardian angels The belief in guardian angels is as old as the mankind. Many human beings already experienced situations in which the presence of a guardian angel or something protecting, was intensively noticeable. How this feeling is interpreted depends on the respective culture.That guardian angel is the energy, which always accompanies us. Therefore it is most human beings so much known that it is not noticed any longer. You can take up contact with him, and should it also, because it helps you to find the way to God.
Children usually have a close contact to their guardian angel, which however faded as soon as they become older.
They belong to God messengers and serve it. Except to grant human beings protection, they are responsible to point them the correct way.

Guardian angels in the bible

In the New Testament angels are described amongst other things in term of there function for human beeings: They take part at repentances (Lk 15,10), the apostle (1 Cor 4,9) and take souls into paradise. (Lk 16,22).

The idea of guardian angels is described in Mt 18,10 as the love gods for the little ones. 1 Cor 11,10 tells that angels watch over ecorousness. They arrange gods tribunal (Acts 12,23), help the apostle (Acts 5,19; 12,7ff) and tell gods will (Acts 8,26; 10,3ff; 27,23).

Exodus 23,20-24
'Behold, I send an angel before you, to guard you on the way and to bring you to the place which I have prepared. 21 Give heed to him and hearken to his voice, do not rebel against him, for he will not pardon your transgression; for my name is in him. 22 'But if you hearken attentively to his voice and do all that I say, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries. 23 'When my angel goes before you, and brings you in to the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Per'izzites, and the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jeb'usites, and I blot them out, 24 you shall not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do according to their works, but you shall utterly overthrow them and break their pillars in pieces.

Psalms 34,7 The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them.

Psalms 91,11 For he will give his angels charge of you to guard you in all your ways.

Acts 16,8-10

Hebrews 1,13-14
13 But to what angel has he ever said, 'Sit at my right hand, till I make thy enemies a stool for thy feet'? 14 Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to serve, for the sake of those who are to obtain salvation?

Revelation 1,19-20
Now write what you see, what is and what is to take place hereafter. 20 As for the mystery of the seven stars which you saw in my right hand, and the seven golden lampstands, the seven stars are the angels of the seven churches and the seven lampstands are the seven churches.

Why do we need guardian angels?

1 Peter 5,8
Be sober, be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking some one to devour.

Revelation 12,9
And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the Devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world--he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.

Angels arrange gods tribunal

Acts 12,21-23
21 On an appointed day Herod put on his royal robes, took his seat upon the throne, and made an oration to them. 22 And the people shouted, 'The voice of a god, and not of man!' 23 Immediately an angel of the Lord smote him, because he did not give God the glory; and he was eaten by worms and died.

Angels help the apostle

Acts 5,19-21
19 But at night an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors and brought them out and said, 20 'Go and stand in the temple and speak to the people all the words of this Life.' 21 And when they heard this, they entered the temple at daybreak and taught. Now the high priest came and those who were with him and called together the council and all the senate of Israel, and sent to the prison to have them brought.

Acts 12,7-11
7 and behold, an angel of the Lord appeared, and a light shone in the cell; and he struck Peter on the side and woke him, saying, 'Get up quickly.' And the chains fell off his hands. 8 And the angel said to him, 'Dress yourself and put on your sandals.' And he did so. And he said to him, 'Wrap your mantle around you and follow me.' 9 And he went out and followed him; he did not know that what was done by the angel was real, but thought he was seeing a vision. 10 When they had passed the first and the second guard, they came to the iron gate leading into the city. It opened to them of its own accord, and they went out and passed on through one street; and immediately the angel left him. 11 And Peter came to himself, and said, 'Now I am sure that the Lord has sent his angel and rescued me from the hand of Herod and from all that the Jewish people were expecting.'

Acts 8,26
But an angel of the Lord said to Philip, 'Rise and go toward the south to the road that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.' This is a desert road.

Acts 10,1-3
1 At Caesare'a there was a man named Cornelius, a centurion of what was known as the Italian Cohort, 2 a devout man who feared God with all his household, gave alms liberally to the people, and prayed constantly to God. 3 About the ninth hour of the day he saw clearly in a vision an angel of God coming in and saying to him, 'Cornelius.'

Acts 27,23-24
23 For this very night there stood by me an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I worship, 24 and he said, 'Do not be afraid, Paul; you must stand before Caesar; and lo, God has granted you all those who sail with you.'
